Commission Sales – Software Dev Contracts

Source: reddit-r-forhire

About the Role

We are a small, veteran-owned software development shop (SDVOSB) looking for a commission-based sales representative. We build custom software for government and enterprise clients. We've closed almost $1M in contracts with a team of 4. The average deal is around $100K, and clients typically have a lifetime value of ~$350K.

Compensation

  • 10% of the initial downpayment
  • 5% on recurring revenue from your clients
  • 30% of anything you sell above our base proposal. For example, if we quote $100K and you close at $120K, you pocket 30% of that extra $20K.

On a standard deal, you're looking at approximately $10K upfront, plus recurring income as the client continues working with us.

What We Offer

  • Conference tickets and event fees covered.
  • Support with proposals, collateral, and a technical team.

The Catch

  • No base salary currently. We are a small team reinvesting everything into growth. Adding a base is part of our plan as we scale.

Who You Are

  • Someone who has sold B2B services or software before.
  • Comfortable working conferences and LinkedIn.
  • Interested in joining a team that already has traction.
  • Bonus points if you know anything about government contracting or SDVOSB set-asides.

To Apply

Shoot me a DM if you're curious. Happy to jump on a call and talk numbers.
