About the Role
Lincoln Freedom Group, LLC is hiring a Senior Network Architect on behalf of a growing client expanding into multiple new markets. This is a full-time 1099 contract role (40 hours/week) for someone who can bridge the gap between business requirements and network infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Own the high-level network design process.
- Gather requirements from business stakeholders.
- Translate requirements into technical architecture.
- Create detailed specifications for implementation teams.
- Work alongside Principal Engineers and Product Owners.
- Write Jira stories that task out developers on specific network objectives.
Environment
The client operates their own datacenters and networks (no cloud providers). You'll primarily work with Cisco and Juniper equipment across Enterprise and FTTH deployments. The team is self-driven with hands-off management. Your co-workers are laid back, highly skilled, and collaborative.
Requirements
- Deep networking expertise and ability to design at scale
- Python familiarity (reading/understanding, not necessarily development)
- Strong requirements gathering and stakeholder communication skills
- Experience translating business needs into technical specifications
- Ability to work independently and drive projects forward
Title and Structure
You'll be the only Architect on the team, working collaboratively with Principal Engineers and Product Owners.
Compensation
