Job Title: Graphic Designer for Book Cover Typography + Layout
Compensation: $60/hr
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced graphic designer to finalize a book cover for a teen entrepreneurship book (ages 12–17).
Important: We are not looking for an illustrator; we already have the artwork. We need someone who excels at:
Requirements
- Typography: Professional hierarchy, spacing, kerning, and readability
- Curving and shaping text to fit around elements
- Balancing busy visuals with a clean, premium layout
- Applying textures to create a premium look
We have a strong direction and will provide clear instructions and reference covers. We need someone who can execute quickly and at a high level.
Deliverables
- Final front cover layout (print-ready)
- A few typography variations (2–4 options)
- Source files (PSD/AI) and exports (PNG/PDF)
Bonus Points
- Experience with book covers
- Experience with Amazon/KDP specifications
- Experience with print-ready exports
