Video Editor for US-Based SaaS Startup

ProfileGuard is an American SaaS company focused on helping people protect and manage their online reputation. We are expanding our content team and seeking a motivated, detail-oriented video editor for consistent, long-term work with a US client.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable with the modern content landscape and utilizes AI tools to enhance their workflow. Experience in traditional film is not required; instead, we value a strong understanding of short-form content and AI-assisted editing.
About the Role
You will be editing the following types of videos:
- SaaS explainer/demo videos about ProfileGuard's functionality
- AI comedy ads for ProfileGuard (footage provided)
- Talking head explainer videos for Meta platforms
The narrative will be security-based. Prior experience related to network security, application security, or cybersecurity is a plus.
Requirements
- Strong pacing and ability to hook viewers in the first 3 seconds
- Clean cuts, smooth transitions, and text/caption overlays
- Proficiency with Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or similar editing software
- Bonus points for using AI-assisted editing tools (Runway, Descript, Opus Clip, etc.)
- Good written English communication skills
- Honesty about timelines and deadlines
Rates and Perks
- Compensation: $5-25 per video, depending on length and complexity
- Potential for Retainer: If the collaboration is successful, the role can transition to a monthly retainer with a steady volume of work.
- Tooling: For retainer editors, we cover the cost of your AI and editing tools, even during months with no work.
- Portfolio Rights: Full portfolio rights for all videos edited.
- References: LinkedIn recommendation from the founder and professional reference for future clients.
Payment
- Wise, Payoneer, or crypto. Your choice.
- Two revision rounds per video.
- Communication via WhatsApp or Discord.
