About the Role
As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality eye care, performing accurate refractions, and managing optical inventory. You will serve as a key consultant for customers and a point of escalation for Opticians.
Responsibilities
- Prescription & Fitting: Dispense accurate prescriptions and fit spectacles, contact lenses, and other optical aids.
- Refraction & Diagnosis: Perform refractions and diagnoses to meet customer needs.
- Customer Consultation: Advise patients on lens types, frames, styling, contact lens care, and the use of low-vision aids. Perform adjustments and repairs to spectacles.
- Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of lenses and optical products; provide input on ordering.
- Reporting: Provide regular qualitative and quantitative reports to management regarding sales, stock, and customer feedback to facilitate decision-making.
- Quality Control: Ensure the quality of eye measurements. Audit fitments and dispensing techniques of Opticians and maintain relevant reports.
- Escalation Point: Act as the primary point of escalation for Opticians for cases requiring higher-level consultation.

Required Skills & Competencies
- Customer Service: Welcome customers appropriately and explain the products and services offered by Vision Express.
- Consultation: Educate customers on the "Vx 6-step Eye Test" and provide personalized advice based on individual needs.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure timely delivery of products and prompt after-sales service.
- Process Management: Ensure back-end processes are completed according to schedule.
- Issue Resolution: Escalate any unresolved issues or disputes to the Store Manager (SM) when necessary.
