About the Role

Mulligan Post, Inc is seeking a hardware hacker to build custom robots for an automated storage and retrieval system for a Magic: The Gathering e-commerce store. The goal is to compete with companies like CardKingdom and TCGPlayer, eventually handling over 100k SKUs, millions of items in inventory, and tens of thousands of picks per day.

This role requires a mechanical/electrical/hardware generalist to complement the software expertise. The ideal candidate will integrate off-the-shelf parts into custom automation solutions. This is a fast-paced environment with direct involvement in the project, autonomy, and minimal overhead.

Responsibilities

  • Make stuff and solve problems.
  • Communicate clearly.
  • Learn quickly.
  • Challenge requirements.
  • Source off-the-shelf parts or design custom manufacturable parts.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion.
  • Experience integrating components like FUYU linear rails, Clearpath motors, pneumatics, Send Cut Send / Xometry parts, and 8020 frames.
  • Proficiency with OnShape (license/seat will be provided).
