About Air Space Intelligence

Air Space Intelligence is a frontier AI and product company for critical industries and defense, backed by a16z. We are based in Boston.

Last week, the FAA awarded us a 12-year, $875M contract to build FMDS and SMART—the flow-management and airspace optimization systems that will become the technological backbone of the FAA's Air Traffic Control. What we ship in the next two years will define how this country moves through the sky for the next fifty.

The Challenge

At the core of our work is one of the largest real-time optimization problems in the world: how do you safely sequence ~40,000 flights/day while routing around weather, military airspace, equipment outages, and constant real-world churn? The system has to be right every time, and reliable at scale.

Open Roles

We are hiring across the following areas (for both ICs and Tech Leads):

  • Backend
  • Infrastructure
  • Frontend
