Coop (https://smart.coop.farm) is an Austin, TX based company building the world’s largest decentralized food production network, starting with AI-powered chicken coops. They've been in the market for about 18 months and their customers are in 48 states, generating about >5M eggs this year.
About the Role
Coop is looking for a 2nd Founding Engineer to work alongside their CTO, Ryan. This isn't a traditional engineering role; you'll be working on a variety of projects from day one as part of a small, growing team. They are looking for someone who is "full stack" in their abilities. They also love working with founders.
Responsibilities
- Work on a ton of cool projects.
- Help build a huge business in the connected urban farming space.
Requirements
- Experience with computer vision is a plus.
- Experience with consumer products is a plus.
- Gritty and passionate.
- Experience starting a company is a plus.
About the Team
The team is a tight-knit group of 6 people with 15+ years of experience working together. They've been through YC and have scaled multinational million-dollar businesses, taking them from idea to acquisition by a Fortune 50 company. They are VC backed (call it $5M) by some of the world's best investors but they are a scrappy small team that moves fast.
