CTO / VP of Engineering

Location: Remote – United States Department: Engineering – Blockchain / Web3 / Cryptography Type: Full-time

We are seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) / VP of Engineering to lead, scale, and inspire our engineering team. You’ll define the technical roadmap, mentor top-tier engineers, and work closely with the founding team to shape the future of verifiable computation on Solana.

This is a high-ownership leadership role with an opportunity to influence the architecture, security, and adoption of cutting-edge decentralized infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Define and execute the technical roadmap for the company.
Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team.
Architect, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems and APIs to support proving service integrations and platform infrastructure.
Optimize infrastructure for scalability, low latency, and reliability to handle increasing proof request volumes.
Support developer teams integrating with our stack, ensuring seamless Solana program and zkVM integration.
Write clean, secure, and maintainable Rust code, adhering to open-source best practices.
Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and security audits.
Stay ahead of emerging cryptographic primitives and apply them effectively.

Qualifications

3–5 years professional experience with Rust.
3+ years experience building and maintaining high-scale production systems or Solana infrastructure tools.
Proven experience writing Solana programs (Anchor framework and Pinocchio).
2+ years in a technical leadership role.
1+ years working with zkVMs and writing zk programs (Risc0, Succinct, Groth16 preferred).
Proficiency in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong problem-solving, communication, and remote collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience building prover networks.
Previous experience in startups or high-growth tech environments.
Alignment with Solana’s vision of Internet Capital Markets.
