About the Role
Joulent delivers multi-gigawatt power to AI data centers. We are looking for our founding hire on the team responsible for forecasting load and market prices. You will own the entire infrastructure spine, including:
- ISO/RTO market feeds
- Weather and plant telemetry
- Feature stores
- Model serving and drift detection
- Model gateway
This is not a traditional "big data" scale problem; the data is rich rather than petabyte-scale. The primary challenge lies in data integrity: feeds often land late and are revised retroactively without triggering errors. Your work will focus on building trust infrastructure, including:
- Data lineage
- Freshness SLAs
- Point-in-time correctness
- Eval gates that can block model deployment
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years working on production data and ML platforms.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, SQL, Airflow, containers, and IaC (Infrastructure as Code).
- Background: Energy industry experience is welcome but not required.
