Job Title: Video Editor
Compensation: $15-25/hr, Ongoing, Remote
About ProfileGuard:
ProfileGuard is an American SaaS company focused on helping people protect and manage their online reputation. We are expanding our content team and seeking a motivated, detail-oriented video editor for consistent, long-term work.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable with AI tools to speed up their workflow and understands short-form content.
What You'll Be Editing:
- SaaS explainer/demo videos about ProfileGuard
- AI comedy ads for ProfileGuard (footage provided)
- Talking head explainer videos for Meta
- The narrative is security-based. Prior work related to network security, application security, or cybersecurity is a plus.
Requirements
- Strong pacing and ability to hook viewers in the first 3 seconds
- Clean cuts and smooth transitions
- Text/caption overlays
- Comfortable with Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or similar editing software
- Bonus points for using AI-assisted editing tools (Runway, Descript, Opus Clip, etc.)
- Good written English communication skills
- Honest about timelines and deadlines
Rate and Structure
- Compensation: $15-25/hr, depending on complexity
- Most tasks are short-form edits (reels, demos, talking head cuts), with quick turnaround times
- Initially, work will be per-project. If successful, the role will transition to a monthly retainer with steady volume.
