About the Role

I am hiring for a frontline Engineering Manager to build the automation and trust layer for freight pricing, matching, onboarding, and settlement. You will lead 1-3 teams (FTE + contractors) and own delivery end-to-end.

Expectations:

Technical Credibility: While your day-to-day will not be in the code, you must be technical enough to perform architecture reviews, unblock the team, and maintain credibility with junior to staff/principal-level engineers.
Role Type: These are frontline roles that require technical capability, but they are not player-coach roles.
Experience: ~8 years of experience is typical.

Technical Challenges

Solving trust and fraud issues at marketplace scale.
Integrating legacy data with a modern stack.
Managing the complexities of powering hundreds of thousands of load/shipment postings every day.
AI/LLM Policy: We are actively using AI, but we hold humans responsible for all output. Everyone is expected to review and understand LLM output before sharing it with others.
