About the Role

🚀 CEO – EdTech Startup

OptN is an AI-driven EdTech startup revolutionizing how universities connect with high school students—before they apply. Our platform, joinoptn.com, is live with a number of partner institutions and over 20,000 students, helping enrollment teams identify, engage, and convert prospective students with personalized outreach, predictive analytics, and mobile-first experiences.

With a full product in market and a powerful technical foundation, we are now seeking a visionary CEO to scale the business, help close a Series A, and lead OptN into its next phase of growth. We are looking for a founder-type leader who thrives in zero-to-one environments and is passionate about transforming the future of education through technology.

Responsibilities

As CEO, You Will:

  • Own and drive company strategy, fundraising, and vision execution.
  • Play a key role in investor outreach and close our next round of financing (Series A).
  • Build out a strong go-to-market function (sales, marketing, partnerships).
  • Serve as the face of the company to institutions, press, and the broader EdTech community.
  • Collaborate closely with the founding technical team and board.

Requirements

You Might Be a Fit If You:

  • Have experience as a founder, co-founder, GM, or growth-stage operator in a tech or EdTech startup.
  • Understand the higher education buyer journey, especially in admissions or enrollment.
  • Have raised or helped raise venture capital and are eager to do it again.
  • Are obsessed with product-market fit, unit economics, and customer love.
  • Are comfortable with equity-forward compensation while building value.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: Generous Equity (Founding-level equity stake)
  • Product: A built product with real users and early institutional revenue.
  • Support: Complete technical leadership and engineering support.
  • Growth: Opportunity to build your own team as we scale.
  • Impact: Mission-driven work that meaningfully improves access to higher education.
  • Flexibility: Flexible hours.

Skills

Note: This role is for builders, not caretakers. If you want to be the driving force behind the next big EdTech company—and you’re ready to earn your stake by executing—let’s talk.
