About the Role
I'm the Director of Technology at Crossref and I'm looking for a Head of Infrastructure Services to join my team. This role will lead the strategy and evolution of Crossref's infrastructure ecosystem, own the infrastructure roadmap, and lead and develop our Infrastructure Services Team.
Crossref is a not-for-profit organisation that runs infrastructure that connects thousands of scholarly publishers and millions of research outputs, serving an increasingly diverse set of communities across scholarly publishing, research, funding, and beyond.
Technical Environment
Our system is a complex mix of legacy and modern components, some parts over 20 years old and tightly coupled. Our stack includes:
- Cloud: AWS
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform
- Languages: Java, Clojure
- Data/Search: Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL
You'll play a key role in our efforts to modernise this system into a set of more loosely connected services.
