[HIRING] Landing page for a startup building products for neurodivergent people (multilingual, etc.)
Source: reddit-r-forhire
Hi π
I'm with MindyCore, a company that builds products for neurodivergent people. We have two lines: MindyMinds (AI, with our assistant NeuroMindy) and MindyPlay (games for iOS/Android, still in development). I'm looking for someone to build our website from scratch, in code (no Wix/Squarespace/WordPress templates).
About the Role
The most important thing: our audience is neurodivergent people (ADHD, autism, dyslexia, etc.), so the site has to be designed with them in mind. This isn't an add-on, it's the heart of the project. That means:
- Clear, direct language
- Predictable navigation
- High contrast
- Highly legible typography
- Low stimulation (no aggressive animations, no pop-ups that appear on their own, no visual overload)
- Real accessibility options the user can turn on themselves: adjustable text size, dyslexia-friendly font, reduce/remove animations, calm mode.
I really value anyone with experience in accessibility (a11y) and inclusive design.
Structure
This matters: it'll be a single-page, long-scroll landing, because I want to guide the user without making them jump between tabs. BUT long can't mean overwhelming. I need you to pay special attention to orientation and a sense of control:
- Fixed navigation that always shows which section the user is in.
- A reading progress indicator (so the person knows how much is left and the scroll doesn't feel endless).
- Short, scannable, self-contained sections (clear heading + little text), not walls of paragraphs.
- Collapsible/expandable sections (accordion-style) and/or a "compact view" mode so the user decides how much content they see at once. Key sections (what MindyCore is, the labs) open by default so the company is clear at a glance; the rest, the user can collapse as they like.
Planned sections: home, what MindyCore is, the two labs, how to get started, case studies, testimonials, community, newsletter, social, FAQ.
Features
- Multilingual within the same page (at least EN/ES, and built to add more easily), with a selector that switches the text instantly, no reload.
- Dark and light mode, with a toggle for the user that also respects the system preference.
- Internal section search.
- A newsletter form ready to connect to an email tool.
- A visual link to NeuroMindy: a button/shortcut with our assistant's image that leads to hellomindy.mindycore.com (where the actual chatbot lives). Important: it must be clear that it's a link opening another page, NOT a chat inside the site. No fake chat box β being honest with the user is a priority.
SEO and GEO
- Solid SEO: semantic HTML, meta tags, OpenGraph, good performance, structured data (schema.org).
- GEO (optimization for AI search engines like ChatGPT/Perplexity): clear content, structured FAQ, well-built schema.org data.
Things to Keep in Mind
- Some elements will be placeholders for now: the MindyPlay games will be shown as "Coming soon" (not published yet), and I'll provide some social/community links during the project.
- The code must be delivered to our GitHub organization (I'll give you access): well organized, commented, and with a short guide on how to edit text, translations, and how to swap the "Coming soon" placeholders for the real store links once we launch the games. I want to be able to update it in the future without depending on any one person.
Budget
Up to β¬1,000. Let me know what you include for that price and your estimated timeline.
To Apply
Please tell me (generic messages won't cut it):
- 2β3 similar sites you've built (with links).
- How you'd approach the long-scroll-without-overwhelming, the multilingual setup, dark/light mode, and GEO/SEO specifically.
- Your experience with accessibility / inclusive design (if any).
- Estimated timeline and what's included / not included in the budget.
Thanks π
