I am looking to hire a remote contract full-stack software engineer to help maintain and improve an internal analysis system. This is a direct contract role; I am hiring directly, not through a job board, agency, or affiliate link.

About the Role

The work will include:

Maintaining and improving existing frontend features
Backend/API updates
Bug fixes and debugging
Database-related work
Testing and documentation
General codebase maintenance and improvements
Bonus: Energy industry experience is a plus

Requirements

Strong experience with:

React
JavaScript / TypeScript
Python or C#
REST APIs
SQL or NoSQL databases
Git / GitHub workflow

Experience:

5+ years of professional software development experience
Comfortable working independently
Good written communication

Role Details

Type: Remote contract
Hours: 20–40 hours per week
Timezone: Must overlap at least 4 hours with US Eastern or Pacific time
Rate: USD $25–35/hr (depending on experience)
Payment: Monthly by agreed invoice
Communication: Slack
Duration: Long-term preferred; can become an ongoing role if the fit is good
