About the Role
airCFO is an AI-powered accounting & finance services partner to 300+ startups (current/former clients include Anthropic, Replit, and Harmonic). We are building a platform to supercharge our service's capabilities and are looking for a Founding Engineer to build the systems behind it.
You will report to a hands-on fractional CTO in a small team with high autonomy.
Responsibilities
- Build a retrieval/RAG context layer over all our tools.
- Develop internal applications used by our teams daily.
- Maintain clean architecture and a strong mental model of the entire system.
- Drive coding agents effectively while maintaining high code quality.

Requirements
- Senior-level experience in software engineering.
- Experience with production RAG/agents is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Ability to maintain clean architecture and system-wide oversight.
