Job Title: Female Scifi Story Narrator (YouTube Channel)

We're a YouTube production team behind an established science fiction audiobook channel, and we're looking for a female narrator who can deliver engaging story narrations and appear on camera for short video introductions.

Please note: This role requires a 30-second on-camera introduction for each story, so you must be comfortable on camera and have access to a good recording setup.

Pay & Workload

Base Rate: $0.010 per word.
Per Story Pay: $60–$70 (based on an average of 6,000–7,000 words per story).
Performance Increases: The per-word rate will increase gradually based on output volume, consistency, turnaround time, story length, and audience reception.

Responsibilities

Narrate science fiction and HFY romance stories.
Record a 30-second on-camera introduction for each story.
Deliver clean, edited audio files free of mistakes, repeated lines, and background noise.
Maintain consistent audio and video quality across recordings.

Requirements

A strong, engaging female narration voice with clear diction, natural delivery, and good pacing.
Confidence and a natural presence on camera.
A visually appealing recording space (e.g., living room, home studio, or similar).
Good lighting (ring lights are acceptable; cinematic or ambient setups are a plus).
A high-quality camera capable of recording at 1080p minimum (DSLR, mirrorless cameras, or high-end webcams are preferred).
A quality microphone that delivers clean, professional audio.
Previous YouTube narration or on-camera experience is preferred, though not essential.

Equipment & Setup

You must already own or have access to a quality camera and microphone.
You will need a dedicated recording space that you can use consistently across stories.
Your recording background should be clean, well-lit, and visually appealing.
A recording booth is acceptable for video introductions if it has suitable lighting and looks good on camera.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with science fiction, particularly HFY and romance storytelling.
An existing recording setup that already looks great on camera.
The ability to convey emotion, tension, and personality through narration.
Genuine enthusiasm for presenting; we are looking for someone who enjoys being on screen as much as narrating stories.
