Position Details
- Position Title: Database Analyst Junior
- Location: Portsmouth, NH
- Clearance: Secret
Responsibilities
The Database Analyst Junior will:
- Evaluate and review Dept. of State database resources and services while ensuring high levels of data quality.
- Develop, implement, and oversee database policies and procedures.
- Design logical and physical databases or review changes to database design.
- Develop and deploy reports and ETL process packages.
- Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL database applications.
- Assist application and web development staff and users on database solutions.
- Administer, maintain, develop, and implement policies and procedures for database security and integrity.
- Perform database and software life-cycle activities.
- Perform database backups and monitor scheduled database jobs.
- Apply database service patches.
- Monitor, administer, and implement performance on database systems.
- Coordinate system backup team.
- Work with business units to convert requirements to database objects.
- Administer and use current and emerging database tools, strategies, and technologies.
- Evaluate and recommend available database management system (DBMS) products.
Requirements
- Three (3) or more years' experience in ORACLE database administration or relevant experience with strong PL/SQL knowledge.
- Oracle Database Administration, Oracle Database SQL, or Oracle Database PL/SQL Developer certification preferred.
