About the Role
We’re building an AI platform for construction: offline-first mobile/web apps that automate jobsite workflows, understand documents and blueprints, and connect the field to the office.
We are looking for a strong mobile engineer to own our React Native/Expo app for iOS and Android, as well as parts of our TypeScript web app. Our backend stack consists of Scala/Play and PostgreSQL.
You will be building for real field conditions, including:
- No signal environments
- Usage with gloves and in direct sun glare
- Dusty tablets
- Handling large blueprints, high-res photos, and messy jobsite data
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience preferred
- Strong English communication skills
- Experience with React Native / Expo
- Experience with modern TypeScript web apps
- Knowledge of offline-first apps, SQLite, data sync, and conflict resolution
- Experience with App Store / Google Play deployment
- Familiarity with AI APIs (LLMs, vision, speech-to-text)
- Construction, logistics, or field-industry experience is a plus
