About the Company
Atom Computing is a well-funded, rapidly growing company working at the forefront of quantum computing. We trap Ytterbium atoms with lasers, using each atom as a qubit in a quantum register.
Our technology uses:
- Green light: Accomplishes the quantum analog of a NOT gate.
- UV light: Accomplishes the quantum analog of an XOR gate when two atoms are held in close proximity.
Because atoms are famously precise and sensitive to system imperfections, our work presents demanding signal path challenges and unique opportunities for compiler optimization.
