[Hiring] (Remote) Mood Board Template Designer
Source: reddit-r-forhire
About the Role
Onton.com, an SF-based tech startup building a product search engine specifically for interior design, is looking for design students to join their team for a template design gig.
The company recently launched a digital Canvas feature that allows users to build mood boards for home projects. They are seeking design students with a strong visual eye to help build out an initial library of featured templates. This is an opportunity to contribute to a growing platform, similar to the early days of Canva, but tailored specifically for interior design and mood board aesthetics.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing aesthetic, well-curated mood board templates using the company's online Canvas tool and product search engine.
- Experimenting with interior design styles, color palettes, and spatial product pairings.
- Building featured launch work that will be front and center for the platform's 1M monthly active users (a great resume piece).
Compensation & Scope
- Pay: $50 per template.
- Scope: The project will start with 1 initial template as a trial run. If it is a mutual fit, the company would like to extend the gig and assign batches of multiple templates.
- Format: 100% remote and flexible timeline.
Ideal Fit
- Current student or graduate in Interior Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or UI/UX.
- Strong eye for visual layout, curation, and color theory.
- Interest or experience in interior design, furniture, or home aesthetics is a huge plus.
