About the Role
We build ShowUp, the software that runs live events end to end: check-in, badging, session scanning, lead capture, and exhibitor portals. Our platform runs in real-time, on-site, where there is no second chance to get it right. We work with teams of every size, including three of the Fortune 5, across hundreds of events a year worldwide.
We are hiring one senior engineer to own core platform development—including improvements, integrations, and reliability—and ship it end to end. You will work with our engineering lead, who sets the architecture and reviews the work, while you run with a high degree of autonomy. This is a builder role: no reports, just real ownership. We are an AI-forward team and lean on AI tooling heavily to punch above our size; we expect you to use it to amplify your judgment, not replace it.

Requirements
- 8+ years of experience.
- Senior experience owning complex domains.
- Ability to ramp up quickly in unfamiliar codebases.
- Strong judgment on ambiguous work (ability to scope and ship without needing tasks broken down for you).
- Fluent, everyday use of AI tools.
- Clear communication skills.
- Bonus: Event-tech or integration-heavy background.
Compensation
- Rate: $60–$100/hr USD (DOE)
