The Role
The role of the Underwriter - Motor is to assist with the management of the risk exposure of the company from its core business, ensuring that it yields a profit while achieving the targeted gross income and market share, managing relationships with third-party producers, and achieving customer excellence.
Requirements
To be the ideal candidate, you must have:
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience working in the insurance industry, with a minimum of 2 years of underwriting experience.
- Minimum of five (5) CXC/GCE ‘O’ Level passes, inclusive of Mathematics & English Language.
- Minimum of three (3) CAPE or A Level passes.
- Completed Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Certificate Level or equivalent qualification (will be an asset).
- Completed or pursuing a BSc. or higher qualification in Insurance & Risk Management, Business Management, or any other related course of study (will be an asset).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word & Excel).
- Any equivalent combination of education & experience.
