About the Role
We are migrating a WooCommerce site to a new domain while maintaining the same Stripe account. We have active recurring subscriptions generating roughly $40k/month in revenue. Our team is handling the full migration (DB sync, plugin config, and redirects) internally. We are seeking an experienced professional to provide a second pair of eyes before we cut over. This is a review role, not a hands-on implementation role.
Scope of Work (1-2 Hours, Fixed)
- Stripe Webhook Review: Review our cutover plan (switching the active endpoint from the old domain to the new one, webhook secret rotation) and flag any risks of duplicate or missed charges.
- Database Migration Sanity Check: Review our subscription/customer/order database migration approach (specifically which tables/meta we are moving, such as
_stripe_subscription_idand related meta) against common WooCommerce Subscriptions migration pitfalls. - Plugin Activation Sequence: Review our activation sequence for WooCommerce, WooCommerce Subscriptions, and the Stripe Gateway to identify potential licensing conflicts or double processing.
- Support: Be available for a live screen-share or async review via call/chat during our migration window should any issues arise.
Requirements
- Proven Experience: Must have real-world experience with WooCommerce Subscriptions and Stripe. Please provide details regarding a past migration you have completed involving live recurring payments.
- Availability: Must be available this weekend or Monday (we are flexible on the exact time and will coordinate).
Compensation
- Rate: $40–$60/hr (1–2 hours expected, paid on completion).
- Alternative: Open to a flat fee of $60–$100 for the full review if preferred.
