About the Role
Senzing builds enterprise entity-resolution SDK technology—an embeddable library that runs entirely inside customer infrastructure with zero data exfiltration. We are hiring a Platform Engineer to own the AWS infrastructure behind Placekey (our location-data subsidiary), a production API service running at scale.
Day one, this is a cloud/platform role: you will own the operational health of Placekey's stack, close out post-migration hardening, and have real input on where the infrastructure goes next. Over time, the role will grow to include internal IT and systems work (Active Directory, endpoint/laptop provisioning, Tailscale, security). We are looking for someone who is happy owning things end-to-end, not just the "glamorous" layers.
Technical Stack
- Infrastructure: EKS Fargate, Aurora PostgreSQL, S3, Lambda, Cloudflare, API Gateway (Kong/AWS), Terraform
- Monitoring: Grafana, CloudWatch, Datadog
- Applications: Scala and Rust
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in platform/cloud infrastructure.
- Production experience with Kubernetes (EKS ideal).
- Experience with managed Postgres (backup, recovery, and tuning).
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Solid understanding of networking.
- Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash.
- You do not need to be an expert on the IT/systems side today, but you should have a desire to grow into it.
