About the Role
A $20 billion hedge fund is seeking a highly skilled and energetic software engineer to join a new R&D project. This is a unique opportunity to build an automated investment analysis system from scratch within a fundamental/qualitative investment firm. The initial team will consist of three people, including you. You will be responsible for all software engineering aspects of the project.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all software engineering for a new automated investment analysis system.
- High leverage and high responsibility role with significant capacity for personal development and role expansion.
Requirements
- Deep experience in production-grade ML/AI infrastructure and automated data analysis.
- Interest in agent orchestration.
- Demonstrated high capacity to learn and a strong interest in acquiring new skills.
Compensation
- Salary: $300,000 - $400,000 base + discretionary bonus (all cash).
- Bonus is paid irrespective of project outcome.
Project Details
- This is an R&D project to build a new automated investment analysis system.
- The project has a 12-month timeline to demonstrate success.
- If successful, the project will become a core part of the fund.
- If unsuccessful, the project will be wound up, but compensation is guaranteed.
