About the Role

We are seeking accomplished physicists and engineers to contribute to a cutting-edge AI research program in collaboration with a leading artificial intelligence lab. As a Scientific Content Evaluator – Physics, you will play a vital role in ensuring the scientific precision, conceptual accuracy, and analytical depth of AI-generated content across diverse areas of physics and applied engineering.

This position is ideal for PhD scholars, postdoctoral researchers, or advanced master’s graduates eager to apply their scientific acumen in a frontier field at the intersection of AI and physical sciences.

Key Focus Areas

We are particularly interested in expertise across the following disciplines:

  • Core Physics: Classical Mechanics, Electromagnetism, Thermodynamics, Quantum Mechanics, Relativity
  • Applied & Computational Physics: Computational Modeling, Materials Science, Optics, Acoustics
  • Engineering Applications: Electrical, Mechanical, and Aerospace Engineering; Control Systems; Applied Mathematics
  • Interdisciplinary Domains: Data-driven Physics, AI for Physical Systems, Energy Systems, Instrumentation

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the scientific validity and logical soundness of AI-generated physics and engineering content.
  • Analyze mathematical derivations, simulation methods, and experimental reasoning for correctness and depth.
  • Identify and annotate factual inaccuracies, methodological flaws, and conceptual gaps.
  • Provide structured, domain-specific feedback to improve AI model accuracy and reasoning.
  • Collaborate asynchronously with a global team of researchers using specialized evaluation tools.
  • Contribute to developing evaluation frameworks that benchmark AI capabilities in advanced scientific reasoning.

Qualifications

  • PhD (or currently pursuing) or Master’s degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Strong command of graduate-level physics, applied mathematics, and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical writing, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote research environment.

Engagement Details

  • Type: Part-time contract (approx. 20 hours/week)
  • Location: Fully remote
  • Schedule: Flexible and asynchronous

Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: USD $20–$30/hour (based on expertise and experience)
  • Contract Type: Independent contractor
  • Payments: Processed weekly via Stripe Connect
