About the Role
We are hiring a Principal Engineer for a backend-heavy role (85-90% backend). You will own architecture across multiple teams and help set technical direction as we scale.
Tech Stack: TypeScript, Node.js, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, AWS, React/Next.js.
Responsibilities
- Owning delivery on systems spanning multiple teams.
- Driving adoption of AI coding tools (we use Claude Code) with real usage across the team, not just experimentation.
- Mentoring senior engineers and influencing technical decisions without needing to go the management track.
- Working closely with product and business leadership on technical strategy.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience.
- Real hands-on TypeScript backend depth (Node.js, NestJS, or similar).
- Exposure to healthcare, fintech, or another regulated-data environment is a plus, but not a hard requirement.
