Job Title: After Effects VFX/Compositing Artist for Short Film

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Adobe After Effects VFX/Compositing Artist to help solve one specific effect in a short film.
The shot features two actors: one is partially transparent and the other is solid. When they join hands, the solid actor needs to gradually become transparent as well. We have the effect mostly built, but the moment of physical contact is creating issues, particularly around the hands and overlap. We are looking for someone to review our existing After Effects project and either fix the shot or provide the cleanest workflow to finish it.
Requirements
We are looking for someone comfortable with the following:
- Rotoscoping
- Masking
- Compositing
- Opacity transitions
- Handling tricky interactions between two moving subjects
Compensation
- Budget: Up to $150 (DOE)
- This is a small, paid freelance job, not a full-film edit.
