Anterior builds AI for healthcare administration. Health plans review clinical evidence against medical policy before care gets approved, often relying on nurses reading PDFs. Our platform reads policies and clinical records, producing decisions clinicians can audit.
We are a team of ~45 people in New York and recently raised $40M, bringing us to $64M total, from Sequoia, NEA, Neo, FPV, Kinnevik, and founders of DeepMind, Google AI, and Inflection.
About the Role
Members of Technical Staff handle everything from system design to production: designing backend services, scaling AWS, debugging, scoping integrations, or evaluating LLM-powered systems. You will set technical direction and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- Strong backend and/or infrastructure experience, with a history of operating at scale.
- Care about foundations like consistency guarantees and code simplicity.
- Known for solving tough problems and making lasting architectural calls.
- Looking to write enduring code.
- Background in scale-ups, big tech, finance, or AWS-heavy teams.
