Our human-QA'd captioning, audio description, subtitling, and dubbing services are used by over 10,000 media, higher ed, creator, enterprise, and government customers. We’ve worked on really cool projects, including captioning the 2024 Paris Olympics and providing quality AI dubbing for high-profile YouTube creators.
About the Role
I'm leading the Growth team, and we're working to build new, beautiful UI experiences on our long-loved services. Our stack is a Remix/Rails product and Astro/Sanity marketing site, both backed with a modern design system foundation (TypeScript, Tailwind, ShadCN, Tanstack, etc.).
We are looking for a principal-level engineer with strong taste in front-end: someone who cares about UX and styling, takes accessibility and page weight seriously, builds strong validation/testing harnesses, and keeps a dependency tree sane.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of new, beautiful UI experiences for our services.
- Contribute to our AI agents and workflows, influencing how we balance human vs. AI tasks.
- Determine best practices for AI tooling, including work specification, parallelization, and security/review gates.
- Maintain high standards for code quality, accessibility, and performance.
What We Are Looking For
- Principal-level experience in front-end engineering.
- Strong aesthetic sense and a deep commitment to UX and styling.
- A focus on accessibility and performance (page weight).
- Experience building robust validation and testing harnesses.
- Ability to manage and maintain a clean, efficient dependency tree.
- Interest in working with the latest AI tooling and defining industry best practices.
