About Pantograph

Pantograph is a research lab developing generally intelligent robots with simple, scalable methods. We design and manufacture our robots in-house. We recently published full details on our robot and opened the waitlist. Our robot is an open, hackable machine running NixOS that can run any model, starting at about $4K. We are building thousands of units with the goal of collecting 10M hours of on-embodiment robot data for our models.

We are a public benefit corporation. We care about transparency and openness, and we think a lot about what it would look like for robotics to go well. You can read more about our mission and impact on our website.

Open Roles

We are hiring across our hardware and ML research teams:

  • Generalist Software Engineer: Work with our hardware team on our robot feature stack and improve our customer experience. (Requires Rust and Python; no robotics background required).
  • Mechanical Design Engineer: Take our first-generation robots from prototype through large-scale production.
  • Research Scientists: Experience required in large-scale pre-training, self-supervised RL, or video modeling.
