[Hiring] Video Editor - High-End/Experienced Editor for Anime Edits ($150/Reel)
Source: reddit-r-forhire
About the Role
I am looking for a talented video editor who specializes in high-energy, beat-synced editing (similar to top-tier AMVs) to create a 15-30 second promotional anime video for a jewelry brand.
All clips will be provided. I need you to bring them to life with impeccable pacing, transitions, and sound design.
The Vibe/Reference
I am looking to recreate this specific energy:

Intense speed ramping, impact frames, heavy bass/beat syncing, and "invisible" transitions.
What You’ll Be Working With
- Footage: 10-20 high-quality animated/anime clips featuring both anime style action scenes, as well as "normal" scenes & "product shots" of the jewelry.
What I Need You To Do
- Rhythmic Editing: The cuts must hit exactly on the beat.
- Speed Ramping: Expert use of velocity (slow motion -> fast impact) to make the action feel punchy.
- VFX/Polish: Add subtle camera shakes, lens flares, or particle effects (embers/sparks) to blend the clips together so they don't look like separate clips, but rather 1 fluid video generations.
- Sound Design (Crucial): Don't just slap a song on it. I need "whooshes" for sword swings, "metallic clinks" for the jewelry reveal, and bass drops that match the visual impact.
Requirements
- Proficiency in After Effects or Premiere/DaVinci Resolve.
- Experience with AMV (Anime Music Video) or gaming montage editing is a HUGE plus.
Budget
- $150 for a polished (roughly) 20-second reel, depending on your experience/quality of work. Could be open to contractual, on-going work
- Would prefer to pay via Crypto (USDC), otherwise PayPal is fine.
How to Apply
Please DM me with:
- A link to your portfolio or reels. (Please highlight any AMV or high-energy edits).
- Other styles (commercial, reels, etc.) of high quality editing/work you have done.
- Start your message with the word "JEWELRY" so I know you read the whole post.
Thanks all for the time!
