Job Title: English Proofreader (TTRPG Specialist)
Source: reddit-r-forhire
About the Role
I am a graphic designer specializing in custom character sheets for tabletop RPGs. I am looking for a fluent English speaker familiar with TTRPG systems (such as D&D 5e, Call of Cthulhu, etc.) to review my English-translated character sheets.
Since these are character sheets rather than books or large documents, the volume of text is typically small. I am looking for a long-term collaborator for ongoing projects.
Responsibilities
- Review finished English versions of character sheets for grammar and spelling.
- Ensure that terminology for skills, attributes, mechanics, and sections matches the official English versions of the respective TTRPG systems.
- Verify that the content is natural and makes sense to active players of the system.
Note: You are not required to translate from Portuguese; the source text will already be translated into English.
Requirements
- Fluency in English.
- Familiarity with TTRPG systems (e.g., D&D 5e, Call of Cthulhu).
- Attention to detail regarding game-specific terminology.
Compensation
- Please send your rates with your application.
- Payment method: PayPal.
