About the Role
Aerofex is a rapidly-growing aerospace startup developing next-generation thrust vectoring and VTOL propulsion technology for manned and unmanned platforms. We are seeking an experienced engineer to support the migration of an existing flight-control implementation from a flight-verified Simulink-like development environment into an ArduPilot-based production implementation.
This is a 1-2 month contract position, with potential for future full-time work.
Responsibilities
The primary task is to create a custom ArduPilot airframe configuration for a (slightly) nonstandard vehicle. This work will focus on:
- Actuator/output mixing
- PWM output expansion
- Firmware integration
- Hardware-level debugging on a Pixhawk-based flight controller
Requirements
A successful candidate will have:
- Worked closely on a similar task
- Very familiar with Ardupilot
