AI-First Photo Retoucher - 3-Month Contract (Remote)
About the Role
We are seeking an AI-first photo retoucher to join our team for a 3-month contract. We are a post-production house specializing in video and still work for retail brands. This project focuses on producing high-quality imagery for a furniture manufacturer. The role involves bridging the gap between AI generation and commercially acceptable imagery. There is potential for the contract to evolve into a full-time position.
Responsibilities
- Enhancing AI-generated room scenes and furniture imagery to achieve "catalog shot" quality.
- Correcting common AI artifacts, such as material inconsistencies, texture issues, and lighting discrepancies.
- Performing color correction, surface detail enhancement, and compositing AI outputs with real product references.
- Working at a high volume, as this is a production-oriented role.
Requirements
- Strong Photoshop fundamentals (this is not a generative-only role).
- Demonstrated experience in cleaning up AI-generated imagery, particularly interiors and product shots.
- Comfortable using at least one AI image generation tool (Midjourney, Stable Diffusion/ComfyUI, Magnific, Krea, or similar).
- A color-critical eye; work must meet high standards.
- Ability to meet deadlines and communicate effectively asynchronously.
Nice to Have
- Background in furniture, interiors, or catalog retouching.
- Experience with Magnific, Topaz, or Photoshop generative fill workflows.
- Experience in retail or e-commerce imagery.
Compensation
- Minimum: $25/hr, with potential for higher pay based on experience.
