About the Role
We’re seeking a Lead Software Engineer (IC3) with strong technical depth, particularly in Apache Drools, Java, and Spring Boot to support the strategy and execution of customer-facing lending platform capabilities. This role is ideal for someone who combines product thinking with hands-on technical expertise and can translate complex business requirements into scalable, high-impact solutions. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and take ownership of delivering reliable, production-ready features in a regulated financial environment.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in product management or strong technical experience supporting product delivery
- Experience working in Agile environments with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret requirements and deliver scalable solutions
- Experience with distributed teams and tools like JIRA and Confluence
- Exposure to lending platforms (APIs, data flows, integrations)
- Familiarity with SDLC processes and end-to-end delivery
- Ability to contribute to user stories and acceptance criteria
Key Responsibilities
- Support product strategy, roadmap execution, and delivery of scalable platform capabilities
- Collaborate with engineering, data, and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (backlog grooming, sprint planning, and delivery execution)
- Ensure high-quality, reliable, and maintainable solutions are delivered to production.
- Partner with stakeholders to enhance platform performance and customer experience
- Use data insights to drive continuous improvement and decision-making

Must be authorized to work in the US and reside within 50 miles of:
- Baltimore, MD
- Wilmington, DE
- Charlotte, NC
- Irving, TX
Work Arrangement
Hybrid (Onsite 3 days per week, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
Compensation
- Pay Rate: $70.00 to $75.00/hr.
- Duration: 9-month contract (potential for conversion to full-time)
