[Hiring] Contract Implementer (Remote, 1099)

Bridge Builders is seeking a contract implementer to stand up and support client installs of three core products: a Business Website with the BridgeView dashboard, an AI Customer Assistant (website chat), and an AI Receptionist (AI phone line). You will be responsible for installing these products client-by-client according to a written runbook and providing ongoing support.
Responsibilities: The Install Process
- Repository Management: Port the engine into a private GitHub repo for the client, layer their config and content, and ensure clean typechecks and builds.
- Deployment: Deploy prebuilt output through GitHub Actions to the client's project in the Bridge Builders Vercel team (projects are never connected to Git).
- Infrastructure: Provision a per-client Supabase project, apply migrations, and set the Vercel environment from the provided env contract.
- Communication: Verify the client's Resend sending domain.
- Telephony: Guide the client through their own Twilio account setup (number, voice webhook, and a fallback TwiML Bin that dials their own phone).
- AI Configuration: Configure the client's ElevenLabs agent in the Bridge Builders workspace, apply the provider privacy policy (no stored audio), and verify functionality.
- Security & Testing: Deploy the Cloudflare Worker media gate and run verification gates (build/render, consent gate, Twilio failover test, secrets server-only).
- Handover: Conduct a live call test and client walkthrough, followed by ongoing support for live clients within a monthly cap.
Technical Stack
- Core: Next.js, TypeScript, npm workspaces.
- Infrastructure: GitHub Actions, Vercel CLI, Supabase (Postgres, Auth, RLS, migrations).
- Integrations: Resend, Twilio (Voice, TwiML, webhooks), ElevenLabs Agents, Cloudflare Workers and Wrangler.
- AI: OpenAI (accessed through a Bridge Builders gateway Worker; LLM keys are owner-held and never accessed by the contractor).
Compensation (1099 Independent Contractor)
Fixed Fee per Install:
- $300 Website + BridgeView
- $300 AI Receptionist
- $300 Standalone AI Customer Assistant
- $199 Assistant added to an existing site
Fixed Monthly Share (Recurring):
- $20 per Website
- $20 per Assistant
- $100 per Receptionist
Note: The Receptionist share covers approximately 63 minutes of support per client per month. Support beyond this cap is billed at $95/hr. Recurring shares are never clawed back.
Hiring Process
- Availability: We contract for availability, not a set schedule (seeking 20 to 30 hours per week).
- Screening: A paid screening task ($150–$250) taking approximately four hours, involving a real slice of an install against a written spec.
- Onboarding: Before payment, candidates must sign a contractor agreement (confidentiality, IP assignment, no authority to bind Bridge Builders, support cap) and provide a W-9.
