About the Role
Maven is looking for a Head of Member Growth to own one of the most important numbers in the company: enrollments. This role is directly accountable for driving member enrollment into Maven's programs across our core business — and, by extension, the revenue those enrollments generate. You will own the enrollment engine end to end, from awareness through activation, turning eligible lives into engaged members.
This is a player-coach role. You will lead a small, high-caliber team while remaining deeply hands-on yourself every day. You will partner daily with Client Success, Marketing, Product, Finance, Data, and Clinical/Operations teams to hold cross-functional partners accountable to their piece of the machine.
What You'll Do
- Own member growth for the Core Business: Be directly accountable for enrollment targets and the revenue those enrollments drive. Set the strategy, build the plan, and act as a control tower across all cross-functional teams.
- Build and run a scalable enrollment engine: Own the full journey from eligible population to enrolled, activated member.
- Expand the playbook: Think strategically about new ways to drive enrollments beyond today's optimization work, including partnerships and approaches that don't rely solely on permission to communicate with a client's employees.
- Optimize relentlessly around data: Build and iterate on the funnel, create systems for quick diagnosis of opportunities, and bring quantitative rigor into execution.
- Hold the cross-functional machine accountable: Serve as the connective tissue between Client Success, Marketing, Product, Finance, Data, Clinical, Payer, Sales, and Operations.
- Operate as a player-coach: Lead and develop a high-performing team while staying in the execution and details.
- Instrument and forecast: Partner with Data and Finance to build the measurement, segmentation, attribution, and forecasting needed to drive confidence in results.
What You'll Bring
- 10+ years of experience driving growth, enrollment, acquisition, or revenue outcomes, with a track record of personally owning and hitting a number.
- Experience in healthcare, benefits, marketplaces, consumer subscription, or environments with complex funnels.
- Hands-on player-coach mentality: You are energized by being in the details daily. This is a hard requirement.
- Elite quantitative ability: You can build and interrogate a funnel model yourself, size opportunities, and design experiments.
- Strategic range: Ability to spot and pursue fundamentally new approaches to enrollment.
- Cross-functional leadership: Proven ability to align and mobilize teams without direct authority.
- Commercial instincts: Understanding of how enrollment translates into revenue and unit economics.
- Comfort in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Compensation and Benefits
Base Salary Range: $204,000.00 - $270,000.00 per year (plus bonus, equity, and benefits).
Benefits:
- Maven for Mavens: access to the full platform and specialists (mental health, reproductive health, family planning, pediatrics).
- Whole-self care through wellness partnerships.
- Hybrid work, in-office meals, and work-together days.
- 16 weeks 100% paid parental leave and new parent stipend (for employees with 1+ year of tenure).
- Annual professional development stipend and access to a personal career coach.
- 401K matching for US-based employees, with immediate vesting.
Work Environment
- Work Authorization: This role requires active work authorization in the US.
- Hybrid Model: Maven operates a flexible hybrid model. For NYC-based employees, onsite work is required Tuesday–Thursday. For those in Boston, DC, Chicago, Seattle, and San Francisco, team members are required to attend monthly "Work Together Days."
