Equans is recruiting for a Caretaker to join the team at Newcastle Fire Station, Elswick NE4 6HL. This is a permanent, full-time role working 37 hours per week.

  • Salary: £25,460.00 per annum

Shift Times

  • Monday - Thursday: 07:30 - 15:30
  • Friday: 07:30 - 15:00

What You Will Deliver

The Caretaker will be responsible for facilitating the delivery of services provided to Tyne & Wear Fire and Rescue Authority by Equans at any of their PFI Estate.

  • Ensure all tasks are completed in a timely fashion in accordance with the appropriate schedules and standards.
  • Undertake a range of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks at a frequency specified by corresponding plans and industry standards.
  • Log any jobs that arise while on site and monitor/take appropriate action regarding allocated jobs.
  • Provide excellent customer service in this customer-facing role.

Note: For this role, you must undergo BPSS level vetting. Part of this includes DBS clearance; therefore, the ability to pass is essential.

Requirements

  • Experience in the operational delivery of FM Services
  • Previous experience of supervision (desirable)
  • Experience in a front-facing, customer-centric role
  • Full clean driving licence (essential)
  • Ability to pass an enhanced DBS check
