Job Title: React/Node Developer (Bug Fix)
Location: Florida (Hybrid/Remote) Compensation: $1,000 flat fee
About the Project
I have a personal project (React front end, Node API, Postgres on Railway) that is mostly functional, but I am currently stuck on a persistent bug. I am looking for an experienced developer to help identify and resolve this issue.
The Bug
When a user logs out and logs back in, the dashboard displays data from the previous session instead of fetching fresh data from the API. The data remains stale until a hard reload is performed.
Goal: The application must load fresh data automatically upon every login without requiring a manual refresh.
Requirements
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in React and Node.js.
- Location: Must be based in Florida (Orlando, Tampa, Miami, Jacksonville, etc.).
- Availability: Willing to meet in person at least once or twice to walk through the setup, with the remainder of the work performed remotely.
- Estimated Effort: Approximately 8–12 hours.
Compensation & Terms
- Total Pay: $1,000 flat.
- Payment Structure: 50% upon agreement of the scope of work, 50% upon successful resolution of the bug.
- Payment Method: PayPal Goods & Services or escrow.
