[Hiring] Remote Actors for Google Meet Product Demo
Source: reddit-r-forhire
I'm a solo founder building an AI-powered meeting coaching tool (Chrome extension). I need to record demo videos showing the product working in real meetings, but I can't use actual work calls for obvious reasons.
About the Role
You'd join a Google Meet call and play a role in a scripted workplace scenario – think "skeptical manager giving feedback" or "teammate who keeps interrupting during a brainstorm." Each session is about 60 minutes, including setup and a few retakes. I'll give you a scenario brief and character notes beforehand, but I need you to be loose with it – natural improv within the scenario, not reading lines.
The Roles
- A "manager" type – reads senior and authoritative, gives direct feedback, asks tough questions
- A "peer" – reads mid-career and energetic, talkative, interrupts, switches topics fast
- A "stakeholder" – reads senior and skeptical, distracted, needs to be won over
You could play one or two of these roles across sessions.
Requirements
- Reliable internet connection
- Working webcam/mic/laptop
- Business casual attire
- Some acting or improv experience preferred but not required
- Ability to sound natural in a meeting setting
- Someone who's familiar with corporate lingo is welcome
Compensation
- $50 per session (PayPal or Venmo), 60 minutes each
- $25 for two alternates to be on standby. Will be paid full $50 if you end up on camera
Details
- Remote: You just need a laptop with a camera and decent internet.
- Duration: 1-2 sessions per person.
- Timing: Recording in the first couple of weeks in April.
- Usage: Your face will appear in a product demo video on YouTube and possibly some marketing materials. I'll provide a release to sign.
About Me
I'm a creative director by day, building this product nights and weekends. This is for a real product launch, not a student film.
To Apply
DM me with a quick note about your experience/reel and include the word "coaching" so I know you read the full post. I'll send you the scenario briefs if you're a good fit.
