About the Role
ChessMate Academy is an online chess coaching academy for both kids and adults. We are looking to build a small network of local chess ambassadors to help introduce our coaching services to players in their area. This is a flexible, commission-based side hustle with no fixed schedule or required hours.
Compensation
- $50 per student who enrolls in a paid coaching program via your referral.
Responsibilities
- Visit local chess clubs, tournaments, meetups, and university chess clubs (locations will be provided).
- Connect with players interested in improving their chess skills.
- Introduce players to ChessMate Academy.
- Share a dedicated QR code/booking link for a free 45-minute one-on-one chess assessment.
- Note: The academy handles all assessments, consultations, enrollments, and coaching.
Requirements
- Must be 18+ years of age.
- Currently based in the United States.
- Comfortable communicating in English.
- Comfortable visiting local chess clubs/events and speaking with players.
- Important: Ambassadors must only promote ChessMate at clubs/events where the organizer has given permission for commercial promotion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Chess experience or strong knowledge of the chess community.
- Individuals already involved in their local chess community.
- Residents of larger metropolitan areas (e.g., New York, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta) may receive priority due to higher concentrations of clubs and tournaments.
