ResortPass | Senior Software Engineer, Frontend

About the Role
We are rewriting resortpass.com—starting with our highest-traffic surfaces (SRP/DLP)—and need a Senior Frontend Engineer to serve as the technical anchor. Approximately 75% of our pages will be updated this year to support international expansion (Mexico & Caribbean now, Europe next), in-housing search from Algolia, a new Hotel SaaS tool, and the launch of Spa as a major new vertical.
This is a Senior role with Staff-leaning scope and a clear path to Tech Lead. Because 2/3 of our traffic is web-based, performance is business-critical (Core Web Vitals, SEO, caching). This codebase will also serve as our launchpad for AI features, including a concierge chatbot and an AI spa booker.
Tech Stack
- Frontend: Next.js 16 (App Router), React 19, TypeScript, Tailwind, shadcn/ui
- Backend: Rails, Node/AWS, Postgres, MongoDB
- Tooling: Playwright, Datadog
Responsibilities
- Own technical design (RFCs) for major rewrites.
- Develop reusable App Router patterns.
- Drive code quality and provide mentorship for a junior-leaning team.
- Manage API contracts with the backend team.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience building production web applications.
- Deep expertise in React and Next.js.
- Proven track record of leading high-traffic rewrites with measurable results.
- Strong full-stack engineers who are open to leveling up on React are also welcome to apply.
