Your Responsibilities:

Operations & Support: In close exchange with our business analysts and customers, you analyze new requirements and incidents, take care of operational system support, assist with planning, and are available as a competent contact person in third-level support.
Security: You ensure compliance with high security requirements and support the implementation and continuous improvement of our Information Security Management System (ISMS – ISO 27001).
Development: You design and develop sophisticated web applications and interfaces for various projects. You also support our existing, web service-oriented core applications.
Operating: Together with the other DevOps team members, you take over the control and management of our infrastructure and make a decisive contribution to the continuous optimization of our services. Your area of responsibility includes, among other things, the administration of classic VMs, the support of Kubernetes clusters and deployments as well as Docker Compose deployments and CI/CD pipelines.
Network Security: You are responsible for the setup and maintenance of firewalls, policies, and security guidelines.
Database & Server Operations: You take over the planning, management, and optimization of our databases as well as the administration of the Linux and Windows servers. Your focus is on both efficiency and scalability of the systems in order to meet the requirements of future applications.
Monitoring & Logging: You expand our monitoring with tools like Elastic and extend the logging to ensure the analysis & stabilization of the operating environment.
Coordination: You coordinate your tasks within the team by implementing technical specifications in clear and structured sprint phases and keeping an eye on the project goals.
Project Management: You independently drive your projects forward in our internal tech roadmap.
Documentation: You independently create and maintain our development and infrastructure documentation and ensure that knowledge is sustainably secured and accessible at all times.
Infrastructure as Code: You design future-proof requirements for our infrastructure and provide the automated setup and maintenance of cloud and on-premise environments.

Requirements

Long-term experience: You have completed a degree in computer science or a comparable education and have at least five years of experience in backend development in the PHP environment.
DevOps Competence: You bring DevOps know-how and have expert knowledge in CI/CD pipelines, Network & Security, Monitoring/Logging (Elastic Stack), containerization, Linux & Windows VM support, RabbitMQ, Kubernetes, Infrastructure-as-Code.
Development Know-how: You have sound experience with PHP (versions 7.3 to 8.4), PHP frameworks (Symfony, Laravel, Slim etc.), database administration with MySQL, SOAP web services, and JSON APIs.
Teamwork: You have experience in working and communicating within development teams (Git/GitLab, Jira, Confluence, SCRUM experience is an advantage) as well as in third-level support.
Analytical skills: You have a quick grasp and can quickly familiarize yourself with new topics. Independent work in an experienced team rounds off your profile.
