About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to drive the development of AI/ML-powered features in ClickHouse Cloud. In this role, you will bridge the gap between a high-performance database technology like ClickHouse and AI capabilities, implementing AI/ML integrations and end-to-end solutions from the Inference API layer to the user interface that enhance how users interact with and extract value from their data.
Responsibilities
- Feature Development: Design and implement AI-powered features across the full stack, from backend inference services to intuitive frontend interfaces within the ClickHouse Cloud platform.
- API Architecture: Create robust, scalable APIs that connect ClickHouse's database capabilities with modern AI/ML inference systems and external/internal AI services.
- Performance Optimization: Focus on optimizing the performance of AI/ML integrations within ClickHouse, ensuring efficient data processing and model execution.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to define, design, and ship new features.
- Code Quality: Write clean, well-documented, and testable code, contributing to a high-quality codebase.
- Research and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI/ML and database technologies, identifying opportunities to innovate and improve the ClickHouse Cloud platform.
- Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Production Support: Participate in on-call rotations and provide support for production systems.
