About the Agency

I run a US-based web development agency specializing in AI SaaS MVPs, AI automations/integrations, and full-stack web and mobile development. Since launching in October, the agency has generated over $200k on Upwork. We are a premium agency, not a discount service; we prioritize high-value contracts and fair compensation for our team.

The Role

I am looking for a strong salesperson to help scale the agency by generating leads and managing the initial sales pipeline. You will be responsible for bidding on jobs and handling initial client communication, with the goal of scheduling a Zoom call for me to close the deal.

Responsibilities

Upwork Bidding: Proactively identify and bid on high-value contracts.
Client Communication: Manage initial outreach and qualify leads.
Scheduling: Coordinate Zoom calls between prospective clients and myself.
Proposal Writing: Write high-quality, human-generated proposals. AI-generated content is strictly prohibited.

Requirements

Location: Must be physically based in the United States.
Communication: Fluent in written and spoken English.
Experience: Proven sales experience and familiarity with the Upwork platform.
Technical Literacy: Must understand the tech landscape (you do not need to be a developer, but you must be able to speak to our services).
Writing Style: Ability to write authentic, compelling proposals that stand out from the "AI slop" common on the platform.

Target Contracts

Hourly: Minimum $100/hr.
Fixed Price: Minimum $10,000.
Exceptions: Smaller projects ($3,000–$5,000) are considered only if they are extremely well-scoped or offer significant potential for follow-up work.

Compensation

Base Pay: $30–$40/hr (depending on experience).
Hours: 10 hours/week to start, with the potential to scale to 40 hours/week.
Commission: 5% commission on all contracts brought in for the first 180 days.
Off-Platform Leads: If you land clients outside of Upwork, I will offer a total of 10% gross commission for the first 180 days.
