Job Title: Distributed Data Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role
ClickHouse is a popular, open-source OLAP database. We are the company behind the database, aiming to build the best-in-class real-time data warehouse. We are currently looking for Distributed Systems and Cloud Engineers to join our team.
Key focus areas include:
- Building AutoScaling Systems for a cloud database.
- Developing a Distributed Caching Layer on top of S3 (Read more here).
Requirements
- Experience in productionizing and maintaining distributed systems and cloud-based multi-tenant caches.
- Ability to work in a fast-moving scale-up environment; must be proactive and hands-on.
- Must be independent and self-organized.
- Database SRE / Cache Operations experience.
- Proficiency in Go, Kubernetes, and Distributed Systems in general.
- Ability to participate in On-Call rotations (debugging production infrastructure, database, or cache issues).
- Low-level database programming (C++, ClickHouse) is crucial for the cache work.
Bonus Points
- Experience working on auto-scaling or other data-driven forecasting challenges.
