Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Loan Processor will audit loan applications using the Loan Officer Checklist for completeness and collect missing information as required. Duties include:
- Obtaining and reviewing all documentation to verify that the loan transaction meets all FHA, VA, Conventional, Jumbo, and USDA guidelines.
- Ordering all 3rd party vendor documents, such as credit updates, required verifications, flood certification, appraisal, title, title fees, hazard insurance, and payoff statements.
- Submitting complete loan files to underwriting for loan approval.
- Reviewing and obtaining documentation to clear all underwriting conditions.
- Submitting all documentation to the closing department for acceptable Final Docs and loan figures.
- Maintaining all correspondence for loan transactions with Realtors, Builders, Title Agents, Borrowers, and Third-Party Vendors.
- Ensuring the LOS system is always updated with current status and the correct investor.
- Submitting loans to closing for final documents to be drawn and working with the title company on approving a final Closing Disclosure.
- Pipeline review of loan files up to 20 units per month, funding up to 15 units.
Education and Work Experience Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in mortgage processing of FHA/VA/FNMA/FHLMC.
- Knowledge of investor programs, guidelines, loan processing, and automation systems.

- Proficient with MS Office.
- Knowledge of industry software and automation.
